JR RACING XR2 RADIO:

The XR2 is a very affordable computer radio..The fact that it is AM is what keeps the price down..

It features two model memory and multiple , easy to read LCD display screens and modes for programming all the features , such as model select , travel adjustment , steering rate , sub-trim , servo reversing , steering trim , throttle trim , steering dual rate trim and brake endpoint adjustment

The features can be a little confusing at first but with a little reading up in the manual they are actually fairly straight forward.

My favorite features are the dual steering/throotle rates..you will find this especially helpfull with those nitro throttle/braking lingages..I also use the trim to all but eliminate the reversing of my Rooster ESC on my HPI RS4 Pro..I can slam the brakes on without jamming it into reverse..Good for those emergency stops..I just set my reverse to about 30%..

I also like the dual model memory...I run both my HPI RS4 Pro and my HPI RS4 Nitro with this radio..The difference between the electric and nitro settings is huge..Its great to be able to “memorize” them seperately..

One thing to keep in mind when considering buying one of these radios..You will have to buy a separate receiver(and servo’s if you need them) for the second car..That may not seem like much to consider but you are talking about an additional $100.00 to run two cars..

If you order an additional receiver from JR Racing you need to get the same frequency because they just send the one crystal that is in the receiver..You don’t get a complete set..Or you can do what I did..Buy the JR Python radio set ($125.00)and you get the receiver, two servos , a set of crystals and a back-up transmitter for not much more than the receiver which is about $75.00

A set of rechargeable batteries is a good idea too..

I would recommend this radio to ANYONE..Novice or seasoned racer..Backyard basher..Whatever..Get one..You’ll like it..

How Much??
