Its finally here..After months of anticipation, we are finally being treated to another fine piece of R/C Mayhem from the guys that invented it...XXX MAIN delivers big time!!
I received my copy last Sunday and have watched it three or four times already..I don't want to give away too much 'cause half the fun of purchasing this video is all the surprizing stuff that is flashed in front of you at blinding and sometimes not so blinding speeds.
The choreography between the video footage and fast paced tunes is amazing..It never fails to amaze me how much XXX MAIN videos and the tunes seem in perfect sync..Bands such as Sonic Hush, Makeshift 3 and Entrophy blast all their original scores that appear to have been written specifically for this video..My best advice???...Crank this up as loud as you can stand it, sit back and be amazed..
I really enjoyed the opening scene of the vid..Again, no details, but it is very "Dick Tracy"'ish...Cameras scanning over bits and pieces... and then once the opening scene ends we switch gears and start with the mayhem...Very cool!! XXX Main Squared keeps you on the edge of your seat with all the visual eye candy...Unusual R/C rides etc...Look for an awesome Lowrider..nuff said!!
I was fortunate enough to attend the XXX Main Squared preview party and we were treated to about 20 minutes of footage from this tape..The finished product is an awesome 57 minutes long..Once the credits start rolling stay in your chair..You still have about 20 minutes of extreme R/Cing to go...
XXX Main Squared features famous faces from around the world..Also a lot of homegrown footage from our own backyard..Speaking of back yards, check out T.J. Lavens backyard..Every off-road R/Cer's wet dream...
I have to hint at one scene I saw..Its the most amazing piece of R/C Footage I've ever seen in my life..Let's just say a 'Copter gets trashed..Big Time..It really is worth the price just to see that..
As usual, there are plenty of XXX Main Hotties running around...I was lucky enough to meet Angel this past weekend..Very nice girl..She hates Bees though..And Birds too...(Thats not a joke..Really!!)..Anyhow..The XXX Main Girls do a real nice job in the video and I though they deserved some recognition..Hi Angel!!
You want Canadian Content??? XXX Main Squared delivers..From some off-road ramp jumping at the Parking Lot Racing Club in Streetsville Ontario, to a cameo appearance by a bottle of Molson Canadian, XXX Main has us covered.. Look also for the return of the much loved XXX Main Turtle..He's Canadian,eh? The infamous 'copter trashin' is also on Canadian soil...And for you fly boys, a few shots of some Pylon Racing (don't worry..Plane guys know what I mean!!)..
Moving right along..XXX Main Squared delivers the usual goofiness they are known for..Not as extreme as the first video but a bunch of laughs were had by everyone in my family..Yes, the little lady sat down for a viewing as well..We both enjoyed a couple of odd characters seen at the end of the tape..
I know I said I wasn't going to reveal too much of the actual content of XXX Main Squared and I hope I've haven't but instead just made you as enthusiastic about XXX Main Squared as I am..
I do, however, have to tell you my two favorite quotes: Jeff Eveleigh to Josh Cyrul: "Dude, You just jumped a house.....and drove away!!" XXX Main Girl(not Angel) to Jeff Eveleigh: "I thought they went backwards"My one beef??? The second time I decided to sit down with The R/C Kid #2 (13 yrs old)and get his views on it..This video is R/C Father approved..Any foul language is tastefully edited with a blast of nitro noise in its place....I took notice of his responses..Lots of 'oohhs' and 'aahhs' and 'oh, cools'....
There are really too many clips in this video to mention and you never really get the experience from reading a review..Buy a copy of XXX Main Squared for yourself..You won't regret it..Its Definitely R/C Guy approved..
