XXX Main DVD's have always been my favorite XXX MAIN product and I have been eagerly awaiting this release..I received my pre-release copy of XXX MAIN - THRE3 UNCUT last week and have been watching as a fan and as a critic since..I'm watchin' it right now!!
Jeff Eveleigh and Wes While have reclaimed the reighns as producers from front to back and it shows...These are the guys who originally came up with the idea to make a video about Extreme R/Cing and these are the guys that others try to copy...And it was their ideas and intuitions that make the XXXMain DVDs so popular..Did they succeed?...Again???
As usual, right from the opening scene, I was hooked..And you will be too..
A great little intro to The XXX Main Team as well as a well thought out story line..I was XXXtremely impressed..Great camera work and a nice little (big) jump to get things rolling..And with the usual hard, fast tunes seemingly recorded for this specific DVD....
And thats just the opening 5 minutes!!!
XXX Main - The DVD - THRE3 just rips on from there...Jumping cars, jumping buses, jumping trains and jumping women..!!
I can't really say what I was impressed with most..XXX Main DVD's are truly a complete package that seem to run together as one movie rather than a bunch of clips..And in that sense, you really don't get the XXX experience until you pop the DVD in the player..Crank it up...Let your mouth drop before you start(it will end up there anyways) and sit back and let XXX Main 3 flash before your eyes/ears..
If I was to describe all that I saw and thought was cool, I would just ruin it for you..Half of the fun of XXX Main DVD's is the surprizes...
I will mention a few things as I imagine you are reading this review hoping for a bit of a preview..
First off...This DVD IS worth your money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to you..Definitely R/C Guy approved..
A lot of great offroad car/buggy/truck control in this DVD..It really is amazing to see what guys are doing these days...Makes you wanna get out there with your own rides and practice a wee bit..
One of my favorite parts of XXX Main DVD`s is the wow factor..I am truly amazed at the skills people have..
You will notice the usual array of big name R/Cers throughout the whole DVD...Great to see Josh Cyrul out again for some XXXtreme buggy jumps..
And look out for some XXXtreme buggy piloting by Jason Ashton in a Las Vegas skateboard park...
Not to mention some XXXtreme 2 wheeling car control by our very own Jeff Eveleigh..
Check out the full size touring car footage...RC Guy says, "Hey...I know that guy!!!"..Check out tons of actual race footage from around North America...And look for yours truly making a special guest appearance jumping a yellow HPI RS4 Nitro over the Hobby Hobby PLRC outdoor track..(our local track)....TWICE!!!...
It always amazes me to see the choreography between the video footage and fast paced tunes..And XXX Main 3 is no exception...Full credit goes to XXX MAIN and Bands such as BEFORE I GO, 30 SECONDS OF SHAME, LOW CHAIN, SILVERSTEIN, SPRING VICTORY, LORENE DRIVE, DEVILLE, MAKESHIFT3, DITCHWATER, BELVEDERE, BENTVALVE & MONKEY NUT for all their original scores that appear to have been written specifically for this DVD..My best advice???...Crank this up as loud as you can stand it, sit back and be amazed..
Cars, buggys, boats, jumps, explosions, flames, rockets, guns?, girls, xxxtremes and mayhem!!..What more can you ask from a XXX Main DVD..I think the XXX Main Guy himself pretty much sums things up at the end of one scene..(which may or may not have bordered on trespassing...wink, wink..)
